Super Mario Bros. 3 review

This is the third Mario game that was created for Nintendo's first entertainment system, and was dubbed: Super Mario Brothers 3. This game is considered by many to be one of the best in the Mario series, due to its fun game play, great graphics, (for an NES game), and the fact that it was a rather large game.

Like its predecessors, this game is also a mainstream platformer, but great characters and challenging levels add to the overall enjoyment of the game. Unique to this game, Mario selects the level he goes to via a map screen. Also, there were new powers introduced rather than just a mushroom and a fire flower, there was then: A hammer bros. outfit, a tanooki outfit, a raccoon outfit, and a frog outfit along side the original fire flower and mushroom. Finally, characters could now play games to acquire items, coins, and 1-ups. This game is an essential to anyone who enjoys the older games in the Mario series, and personally I would give it an 8 out of 10.
