Thanks to Nick we have this awesome 7 and a half minute clip showing monkokio complete a skinned (but unmodified) version of the NES classic Super Mario Bros scoring only 700 points. To give you some idea of how much of an achievement this is 1 mushroom = 1000 points!

“NotEntirelySure” did even better and got 600 points in his video! He nearly gave me a heart attack though from about the 6 minute mark, I’m still recovering…

Well, I’m a little late to the party on this one. Kid NES One sent me this email a while back informing me about the Vinyl Thoughts Art show which was on Thursday, March 15th from 7-11pm at The Quixotic World in Dallas. The good news is that it looks like another one is happening in September.

In 2008 I posted about a lego Mario…well, it’s 4 years on and this massive (75cm high) piece of Mario lego mastery has appeared!

The creator, Keith Brogan, has set it nicely next to his model to show the size difference. Keith used the NextEngine 3D scanner to scan a model Mario and then built a big one using lego. Cool right?

I’ll try not to rant too much about this image because I think it speaks for itself. Inspired by Super Mario World I gladly bring you Super Mario Earth!

I’m feeling a bit nostalgic this evening somehow and nothing spells nostalgia quite like the original Super Mario Bros on the NES for me.

I have been meaning to share this video for some time! Whilst I didn’t have the game down quite as well as this guy I did enjoy skipping a few levels with the good old warp zones.

Now that you have this video for inspiration dust off the old NES and see if you can beat Super Mario Bros in under 6 mins too!

The mini Cooper has never looked so good! I haven’t been able to find out much info on this real life Super Mario Kart other than the owner’s name seems to be Carolina Kisel and she obviously is a big Mario fan!

I’m sure I am not the only one that would love to cruise around town in this awesome little car!
