It’s been over thirty-five years since he Italian moustachioed Italian plumber started jumping over our screens landing on the heads of his enemies, and his popularity has not waned – Super Mario remains one of the most popular video game characters ever!

The release of any new product means another chance for a classic to come back to life in a differnt form. With Nintendo Switch already beating its expected sales targets (2.7 million units shipped by the end of March 2017), Nintendo is prepping for the release of the last game in the Super Mario franchise.

Today we are taking on the big cheese, the head honcho, the boss, King Bowser himself as we take a look at what I consider 8 of the greatest Bowser battles ever! Why 8? Because I could only think of 8 when I wrote this script. Since this list is focusing on the ends of the games spoiler discretion is advised if you haven’t played much Mario and want to keep it all a secret. So with that warning in mind get ready to disagree as we explore my top 8 of the Greatest Bowser Battles ever!

Bowser, King of the Koopa and arch nemesis of our mate Mario. Every good guy needs a bad guy to battle against and Bowser does a pretty awesome job of it! So it only seems fair that we delve a little deeper into the life of Bowser, for without him there would be no Princess to rescue or minions to jump on! Most of you young hispters would be familiar with the tune “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke, featuring T.L and Pharrell. I wasn’t personally (apparently I’m out of the popular music scene) but that doesn’t make this video any less cool to Mario fans! Somehow I have always enjoyed watching people play video games! At times, it’s actually more enjoyable for me then being the one controlling the “mennies” (that means “characters” for those of you not familiar with my Dad’s video game slang)! What does this little anecdote have to do with this post?
