anyways......THE "VAR" BEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This probably still ranks as my favourite Metroid game to date. Whilst I enjoy the new FPS style it has adopted, many of the puzzles and battles in this game were terrifying, challenging and just plain clever even in a side-scrolling environment. I did dislike how the game basically starts with a pointless relay to the back of the level and then a quick escape back out, especially since it doesn't really help you learn much about the controls, but it gets brilliant very quickly after that.
