I stumbled across this awesome picture on reddit the other day and just had to share it on Bowser’s Blog! This cool image depicts a kind of realistic version of the classic original Donkey Kong, complete with Mario and Hammer, a rather seductive Pauline and predominantly featuring a King Kong like Donkey Kong!

If you are like me you probably spent a fair bit of time on this classic game so you may be having mixed reactions to seeing this realistic portrayal…do not fear, I promise you the monkey has not come alive and he is not after you anymore! You do not have to dodge the barrels…please stop with the barrels…

…Maybe I played too much of the game…

Just when you were struggling to find that perfect super Mario piece to add to your wardrobe along comes Mario Mayhem and presents you with these bad boys! I hope you enjoy these very stylish looking converse all stars complete with super Mario bros 1 (old school NES) imagery! I actually wish I knew a little more about where these came from and how I could get my hands on some…they almost look like a custom job but they also look really well finished!

Anyway…I haven’t owned a pair of all stars in my life but if I could find these things may just change. Many thanks to Shadow for sending this to me!

That’s right guys, the next generation of Nintendo awesomeness is already on the cards and has been unveiled at e3 this year! This awesome piece of hardware should be available for us all to purchase next year some time. Not too many details have been released except for some pictures and this awesome video shared by IGN. Something to look forward to in the new year, and how about that whacky controller? Looks like a lot of fun!

Well as our 100th Bowser’s Blog blog post it seems fitting that we post a Mario Mayhem original! I had this idea for this picture for a long time but only just found my old Nintendo Zapper and the spare time today to do this!

This is part of what is fast becoming Duck Hunt Day at Mario Mayhem, today we added Duck Hunt Sprites and an awesome Duck Hunt Flash Game!

I think I spent too much time playing Duck Hunt in my youth…

Ah the humble mushroom, the raw essence of Mario. We have seen it transform so many times over the years, from it’s pixalated beginnings on the NES to crazy Mega monstrosities on the DS the Mushroom has evolved almost as much as our favourite blue overall wearing plumber. Lucky for us an awesome Deviant artist by the name of MyBurningEyes has taken the evolution of the mushroom to a whole new level! Check out these fantastic ideas of different styled mushrooms! I wonder if Nintendo will ever incorporate any of these ideas?

I won’t lie, this is probably one of the coolest things I have come across this year!

When Mario goes to war he puts up propaganda! Or something… Thanks a lot to Chris G for sending me these awesome pics! There is something to be said about the old war propaganda posters, and whomever created these Mario versions sure hit the mark! If these were up during world war 2 I’m sure most people would hardly look twice they look so authentic!

The Koopa’s are fighting! Why aren’t you?

This is one pipe you don’t want to go down! Haha! Well, what better room of the house than the toilet to decorate in tribute to our favorite blue overall wearing, goomba squashing, fireball throwing plumber?

Complete with 1 up styled tissue cosey this room is sure to take you back to the classic NES Mario world.

I always love Mario spin offs that offer an alternate take on life in the mushroom kingdom. This image portrays Super Mario dealing with his remorse for slaying an innocent goomba! I love the drawing style and the attention to detail is great too for us true Mario fans!

I have seen bits and pieces of this ad put together in animated gif’s but I never actually knew it was a DS advertisement! In my eyes this just makes it all the more cool I think.
