I checked and could not find a Wii 2/WiiU thread,so I made one
Here I'll post updates about titles for the Wii U and announced features.
So far....
+Custom User Profiles
+Achievements, which can be viewed by friends
+In game and out of game voice chat
+Facial recognition or a camera, similar to the XBOX KINECT
+Ability to share videos and pictures
-No GameCube backward compatibility (although there may be a VC for that)
-No support for GameCube accessories or controllers.
-Only one WiiU tablet can be connected, the others must be Wiimotes, although there have been rumors that this will change
+The ability to "suspend" software, like the 3DS.

Achievements? I suddenly have a bit more hope for Nintendo

granted, the lack of GCN backwards compatibility is a downer - I mean, for me, half of the Wii's value was its backward-compatibility...

Estimated price for Wii U <-- I think this is the biggest argument against buying a WiiU at this point, though. This is the point where my loyalty gives out seriously, who in Nintendo's target audience has that kind of money?

Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012
In it, Iwata explains what has changed with the WiiU gamepad since last year, and reveals MiiVerse! The social Nintendo network! (Think Facebook, but with Nintendo everywhere and Miis)

Also, the WiiU will be able to import Wiiware and Virtual console titles from your old Wii. Nothing has been yet said about the save data for Wii, Wiiware, or Vitual Console titles. But lets assume that it will for now.

Honestly, I think EB Games/GameStop are lying out of their way just to get money, as it seems GameStop is doing constantly.

Although,I think the Wii U might have it's ups and downs. For example,it's a touchscreen console, so it could malfunction easily if not taken care of well, despite the fact that I'm very much being a hypocrite, oh well.

But still, I'm hoping it does well.

Ha, just don't go rage crazy and break your screen on the gamepad.
Remember how the Wiimotes cost $50? I heard the gamepads could cost $80 or more.
Anyone who owns one will certainly need to treat it with utmost care.
I see a lot of gamepad protective cases coming in the future.

heh, Iwata's engrish was spectacular - my parents gave me headphones to watch the presentation, because they couldn't put up with him XDD

yeah, I can't imagine buying more than one of those gamepads - the pro controllers look more comfortable

It was hilarious to watch.

I almost feel bad for joking about it... but it was hilarious XD

At least his Engrish isn't as bad as Miyamoto's.

I would post a list of WiiU launch titles, but there's way too many. (unlike the 3DS)
So far this is the best source I could find

Also unlike the 3DS, the WiiU will have the eshop from launch.
