The first Mario brothers game is pretty fun, but I believe the best Mario title on the NES was the third, Super Mario Brothers 3.

Ah yes.. Back in the good old days where the graphics in that were awesome Now a lot of people consider them crap but I'm sure a lot of mario fans, like a lot of people here, still admire the pixelly nes games. ^_^ Except for Zelda II. They should be ashamed!!!

I own an NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, and Gameboy advance. The whole home console line up, (in America, that is), [and one hand held]. Of course 8-bit and 16-bit characters are awesome, I've grown up playing the games that had mario as a crappy 2-D blob! I don't know if its nostalgia, but I still enjoy starting up my NES, (which takes some skill), and playing a SMB.
