The large majority of early video games featured a multiplayer split-screen mode, probably due to the fact that the earliest analog games were mostly enjoyed in person with friends and family. While most gaming veterans’ first multiplayer memories will involve swapping a controller back and forth during classic titles such as the original Super Mario Bros, the modern generation’s lasting memories of multiplayer gaming will probably revolve around being called out on Xbox Live by someone halfway across the world. Nevertheless, despite the ever-changing nature of multiplayer games, they remain a staple of the industry due to the simple fact that it’s generally more fun to play with other people. (more…)

With the release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii U, now seemed like as good a time as any to branch out into some other Nintendo games and bring you a bunch of facts from not 1 Metroid game, not 2 Metroid games but facts from all 3 games in the Metroid Prime Trilogy. This would have taken a seriously long time to make! Sure it is a tool assisted play through but along with the maps, editing and actual play time this is an amazing effort! This video shows you an almost complete play through of Super Mario bros 3 on the NES! No warp pipes are used but the hammer does help skip a couple of levels. If you ever wanted to learn how to play SMB3 like a pro this might give you some tips!

If you have a spare 49.30 or if you just really like SMB3 then this video is for you!
